The Badlands Valley (La valle dei Calanchi) is a magical place where time and nature have slowly carved the territory. Civitella d'Agliano and San Michele in Teverina, as well as Civita di Bagnoregio, rise inside the Valley.

This is a beautiful project just 15 km from our village with routes and activities to get to know the wonders of the Valle dei Calanchi (also suitable for children).
The Museum and the Natural Monument Balza di Seppie, are one of the entrance gates to the wonderful Valle dei Calanchi.

Every year, ten thousands of specimens belonging to hundreds of species of birds, along one of the main existing migratory routes, come across the lake of Alviano: a park of 900 hectares, protected since the1970s (the first protected area of Umbria), and now recognised as of international importance within the Natura 2000 network.

The Bolsena Lake is the largest volcanic lake in Europe. Here you can spend unforgettable moments among crystal clear waters and local just a few steps from the beach.

The Peony Garden is a special place, one of a kind worldwide.Set in the midst of nature, the rare collection of peonies stretches as far as the eye can see over an area of fifteen hectares, together with age-old oak, holm oak, cypress and olive trees. The Centro Botanico Moutan collection brings together over 250,000 plants including about 600 different varieties.

The Sasseto Wood is also called the "Fairy Wood" because of its fairy-tale atmosphere. It is a wood with a large biodiversity where you can find centuries-old trees, with twisted roots and branches and evocative shapes of the trunks.

A city of art but also a seaside town, Tarquinia Lido is just a few kilometers from the historical city centre. A long stretch of coast lapped by the waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea hosts numerous establishments equipped with cabins, umbrellas, animation, sports facilities, children’s areas and of course lots of sea!

A tourist resort situated two kilometers from the city center of Montalto, Marina di Montalto offers broad sandy beaches, vast pine forests and functional accommodation facilities make this centre an ideal place for family holidays, relax and fun.
